Bio
Originally from the upper Midwest, Hannah attended Concordia University, Nebraska and received an undergraduate degree in middle level education. She taught middle school for two years in southern China, then earned an MFA in creative writing at Oregon State University and a PhD in creative writing at Illinois State University. She was a 2018-2019 Sutherland Fellow in the Publications Unit at Illinois State and currently serves as the assistant poetry editor for SRPR (Spoon River Poetry Review). Hannah writes about familial grief, collective belief, and personal geographies, and her research interests include ecotheology and poetics in the Anthropocene.
