Biography

Jennifer is the Chair and Director of Assessment and Accreditation of the Department of Education.  Previous to her appointment at Malone, Jennifer was a clinical professor of special education at Walsh University, and before that a K-12 teacher working with students with mild/moderate disabilities. After completing a master's degree at Valparaiso University in Indiana, she began teaching as an adjunct at multiple universities including Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL, Monmouth University in Monmouth, NJ. These teaching experiences led her to want to pursue a Ph.D. to move full-time to higher education. Jennifer has presented at local, state, and national conferences on special education topics including poverty, project-based learning, universal design for learning, communication and autism spectrum disorders, RtI, and starting a student chapter for Council for Exceptional Children. She is also involved with her local church and serves as Board Chair for Lighthouse Ministries in Canton and Board President-elect for the Ohio chapter of CEC. In her free time, Jennifer loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family and friends, especially her husband and their two grown children and their spouses.
