Biography

Scott Waalkes has taught at Malone since 1998. Before coming to Malone, he earned a B.A. in Political Science from Calvin University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. He is the author of a book as well as several articles, book chapters, and book reviews in international studies. His current passions revolve around vocation and calling-- and how to mentor students toward life after college. He and his wife Michele, a Malone graduate, have three adult children. His hobbies include traveling, reading, and playing bocce.
