Writers Guild

The Writers Guild is the student writing club at Malone University. The organization sponsors the annual Malone Writers Prize and hosts other events throughout the year, such as an annual costume party and write-ins with creative writing faculty, where students write in community alongside their peers and faculty members to generate new material, share works in progress, and receive feedback on their writing.

Writers Prize

The Malone Writers Prize is an annual creative writing contest open to all Malone University undergraduates. Each Spring, students can submit creative works in fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. A panel of outside judges reads and evaluates the submissions and selects up to three winners in each category. Student winners are honored at an award ceremony and each receive a cash prize: $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.
