Malone Appoints Four New Members to Board of Trustees

New Members  

• Reverend Dr. Matthew J. Chesnes has served as the senior pastor of Morning Star Friends Church in Chardon since 2004. He earned a D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary, a M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a B.A. from John Wesley College. Chesnes has been engaged in full-time ministry since 1991. He served for 16 years as a pastor in Fonthill, Ontario. He is an online professor for Barclay College.
• Marcie E. Curry is a 1998 graduate of Malone who received her CPA certificate shortly upon graduation and has worked for a public accounting firm for 20 years, achieving a partner position. Curry attends Damascus Friends Church, where she is the co-chair of the MOJO (Mothers on the Job Outreach) program and serves as a Sunday school teacher. She is also Treasurer of the West Branch Middle School PIE (Parents in Education) organization and is on the United Way of Greater Stark County audit committee.
• Susan A. Grabowski is a 1991 graduate of Malone who serves as chief executive officer of the Uniontown-based marketing communications firm Desidara. She established her firm in 1997 and has led it to sustainable success with clients through the United States including Northeast Ohio organizations such as Akron Children’s Hospital, TimkenSteel, The Timken Company, and Morgan Engineering. Grabowski has given her time and talent to many community organizations such as Pathway Caring for Children, Women’s Impact Inc., Mobile Meals of Akron, and the Canton Ad Federation. She has been honored as the recipient of the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Award and the Business Excellence Award from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
• David V. Mungo, M.D. is originally from Akron. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completing his internship and residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. In practice for more than 20 years, Mungo is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He was one of the original physicians in the formation of the Alliance Community Medical Foundation (ACMF). He has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and President of the Hospital Medical Staff: Medicine and Dentistry.
