Summer Camps for 2017

Campers can register by May 27 to experience an excellent educational opportunity.

Academic summer camps are returning to Malone during the summer of 2017.

"More than 110 high school students from Ohio and around the country attended our camps last summer, and we are excited to continue expanding our offerings this year," said Tim Bryan, Chief of Staff. "It's an excellent chance to introduce talented, passionate, and engaged students to all Malone University has to offer."

Malone's camps include:

Applied and Scientific Psychology Camp

Explore the wonders of the human mind and behavior through lab exercises with video games and simulations, and field trips which provide an introduction to discoveries in psychology. 

Computer Science Camp

Sharpen skills in software development for PC, mobile, and web, as well as computer hardware platforms, operating systems, networking, and video game development.  

Creative Writing Camp

Workshops in poetry and fiction, dedicated writing time, and field trips to off-campus cultural sites will be capped off by a public reading of participants' writing. College Credit Plus (CCP) complimentary course option available. 

Nursing Camp

Receive CPR certification and utilize Malone’s new, fully-equipped clinical lab including SIM mannequins.

Science Careers Camp

Hands-on opportunities to develop skills include isolating and analyzing DNA samples and synthesizing common pharmaceuticals in the lab.

Worship Music Camp

Gain practical instruction in playing and leading worship through workshops, working with seasoned professionals, recording a track in a professional studio, and leading worship for a local church. For students who sing and/or play keyboard, guitar, bass, or drums in a contemporary setting. 

Zoo and Wildlife Biology Camp

ONLY A FEW SEATS REMAIN

Develop hands-on skills like animal handling, environmental monitoring, and field identification of local plant and animal species.
