Ashley Tengler ‘15, Ministry Director, Greater Cleveland Youth for Christ

Ashley studied psychology at Malone. She minored in Youth Ministry but, at the time, didn’t expect to use her minor in her career. God had something bigger in store for her, and through serving with her church’s youth ministry, Ashley not only found a passion for helping share the Gospel with youth but a lifelong calling to that ministry as well. Her youth pastor told her about Youth for Christ and now that she serves there, she describes it as her “God-sized dream.”

James Talbert ‘13, pastor of vision and teaching at Citizens Akron Church and Bible teacher at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy

James studied youth and educational ministries at Malone and soon after attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he received a master of arts in theological studies. He’s now a pastor and founding member at Citizens Akron Church, and he believes that every student has the capacity to change the world for the sake of God’s Kingdom– encouragement he provides to the students in his Bible classes at CVCA. He’s passionate about outreach in the community of Akron and demonstrates pastoral care with every opportunity the Lord gives him.

David Williams ‘84, visiting professor of practical ministry at Malone University

Dave studied sociology and Christian ministries while he was at Malone and he now has nearly 40 years of ministry experience and more than 20 years of classroom experience under his belt. He met his wife Carol at Malone and they both sensed clear callings to ministry while they were still college students. And Dave’s roots run deep at Malone, not only as an alumnus, but also as the great-grandson of the University’s founders, Walter and Emma Malone. He considers it a high and holy privilege to follow in their footsteps as a teacher, mentor, and sacred companion for a new generation of Christian leaders.
