Office of University Relations

Telling the Malone story.

Communications and Marketing at Malone University

The mission of the Office of University Relations is to ensure that the Malone story, institutional mission, and educational goals are communicated (externally and internally) in a context of overall concern for the well-being of the University and its constituents.

Specifically, we communicate with prospective and current students, donors, the media, and the community through a variety of different formats including web, video, print, social media, and advertising among others.

What we do

Our team of writers, editors, designers, and photographers work hard each day to provide on-campus assistance with web content, print publications, media relations, and video content. Our office also coordinates Malone’s academic Summer Camp program.

Web Content and Support Services

The web team partners with campus clients to develop creative websites that share important information at Malone to prospective and current students and other important audiences. We maintain the home page and news and events pages and work to make sure the site is mobile friendly and optimized for search engine results.

Print Publications

From post cards to view books, brochures to annual reports, the University Relations team writes and designs all print publications that are received by external audiences. Our signature piece, the Malone Magazine, is produced twice each year. In addition, the department serves the campus community including Admissions and Advancement with design, editing, and publishing of collateral materials.

Media Relations

University Relations coordinates all media contacts including releases to academic and professional journals, magazines, newspapers, radio, and television. The vice president serves as University spokesperson, screens media calls, and arranges for interviews with faculty, staff, and students.
