Experience living, learning, and serving in an urban Christian community development setting in Akron, Ohio, the neighborhood where LeBron James learned to play basketball.

Learn about and serve within various programs and ministries that serve and empower the Summit Lake community and beyond. Dr. Elizabeth Patterson Roe, who lives intentionally in the same community you will be learning and serving in, will lead this experience with local community members, including a recent Malone graduate, Carol Nakata.

This trip is open to all students regardless of major. Students should register for SOSC 212A and SOSC 213B for Pendle Hill and GEN ED credit.
