Adjunct: Department of Business and Technologies

About the position

Adjunct faculty in the Department of Business and Technologies not only serve as instructors but also as mentors, colleagues, scholars, and valued Malone community members. Seeking adjunct faculty who excel in classroom instruction and also fulfills various responsibilities related to their teaching assignments. 

Teaching – Adjunct faculty members must demonstrate depth of subject matter expertise, commensurate scholarship, and practical experience, which includes demonstration of effective instructional methods of teaching and learning that cultivate supportive learning environments. 

Member of the Malone Community – In addition to teaching, adjunct faculty members should be actively engaged in the Malone community. This might include participating in curriculum development, attending department events, participating in faculty development sessions, contributing to task forces, attending community events, and helping student organizations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in teaching discipline;  Ph.D. or Doctorate preferred
• Ability to teach day and or evening through online and on-campus modalities
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence, academic rigor, and use of real-world experience and application
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission, foundational principles, and educational goals
• Commitment to faith and learning in the academic discipline

About the Department

Department of Business and Technology offers five undergraduate majors in the Department of Business (traditional program): Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Sport Management, four undergraduate majors in its Department of Management Studies’ Degree Completion programs: Organizational Management, Project Management, Marketing Management, and Environmental Management, and two graduate programs in the School of Business and Leadership: Business Administration and Organizational Leadership.
