Adjunct: Cinematography

About the Positions: 

The following courses may be taught by two or more adjunct instructors who will serve in the Department of Communication, Visual, and Performing Arts as  classroom instructors. Resources and support are provided to support adjunct instructors who meet the program requirements. 

We strongly desire to find a teacher with appropriate academic and professional preparation for these courses.  All of the following courses will be offered in primarily face to face modalities.

COMM 375 - Cinematography and Editing: This course is a hands-on course that introduces the basic techniques and concepts of digital film and video editing. Students will learn to perform basic editing functions as a process of digital media production and storytelling.

• Master's degree required in communication arts or related field
• Strong commitment to general teaching excellence and academic rigor
• Subject-specific teaching experience desired
• Commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission, foundational principles, and educational goals
• Commitment to faith and learning in the academic discipline.

About the Department:

The Department of Communication, Visual, and Performing Arts offers two majors - one in Digital Arts and the other in Communication Arts.  There are three concentrations of study in our Communication Arts major which include Public Relations, Communication Studies and Film, Theatre & Media.  Our department also provides a home for the Arts Minor, a thriving theatre co-curricular program and the Open Frame Film Festival.
